Balochistan: 8 students among 12 forcibly disappeared

In the first two weeks of August 2019, a total number of 12 people including eight students were forcibly disappeared by forces. In different incidents, thirteen people were also killed including 2 women and a child.

On May 25, a student of Poly Technique College of Karachi namely Waseem Shah was whisked away by security forces from Nushki. He is a resident of Lasbela and was visiting his friends in Nushki.

On Aug 1, four students were abducted by forces from Turbat Bazar of district Kech. The abductees were identified as Pir Jan s/o Bashir Ahmad, Sajid s/o Deenar, Sher Jan s/o Yousuf and Elm-ud-Deen s/o Mullah Mustafa. They are residents of Keelkore area of district Panjgur.

Separately, on the same day, two other students were forcefully taken away from Chitkan area of district Panjgur when forces sieged the area and raided their houses. The victims were identified as Abdul Karim s/o Sameen Ahmad and Nasrullah s/o Shabir.

On Aug 5, forces abducted Ali s/o Hakeem from Malikabad area of Tump, district Kech.

On Aug 6, forces raided the house of Uzair s/o Allah Dad in Ogar area of Mashkay, district Awaran and took him away along with his 2 sons.

On Aug 8, a 10-year-old boy Ali son of Akbar forcibly whisked away by the security forces from Zorr Bazar of Turbat, district Kech. His whereabouts are unknown since then.

On same the day, forces abducted a resident of Sod, Jahoo area of district Awaran namely Ali s/o Abdul Raheem. He was forcefully taken away from Ormara, district Gwadar.

Naeem Sabir was abducted from his home in Bazdad Awaran on August 15. He is a student in Hub Chowki and was visiting his family on Eid holidays.

Killed persons:

On Aug 5, an unknown armed man opened fire on Haji Zareef Khilji in front of Session Court Pishin which left a child dead and injured three.

On Aug 6, Peer Dad s/o Meer Jan was killed in cross-firing on property dispute in Mangochar area of Kalat where 5 others including a woman were badly injured.

On the other side, unknown gunmen entered the house of Sub-inspector Malik Dost Muhammad in Pishin and shot him dead. The reason behind the attack remained unknown.

On the same day, a deadly bomb attack in Quetta claimed 3 lives and injured 30.

On Aug 7, a decomposed dead body was recovered from Rehan Chath area near Apsar Kaur. Later, the body was shifted to the hospital for further examination. However, he has not been identified so far.

On Aug 8, unknown armed men opened fire on Ilyas s/o Maula Bakhsh and shot him dead. He was resident of Washbod area of Panjgur.

In another incident, a woman died when a bullet hit her while sitting outside of her house in Sandani Sar area of Panjgur. She was taken to hospital where she succumbs to injuries.

On 15 Aug, Nisar Hashim killed during a clash between two groups over a property dispute in Sarawan area of Panjgur where 1 another was injured.

In another incident, unidentified militants entered a house in Kandwa area of Mastung and shot a man and his spouse dead.
